You wander down this winding road
On a clear and foggy day
Your name was on the trailhead
But you still wonder why you came

A fine mist against your skin
To remind you how to feel
When the trail drops off toward unknown lands
And your beating heart grows still

Where to travel when the long road bends
And your body longs for sun
Do good days still come when Saturn moves
To prepare you to evolve

Your footsteps rest behind your back
Here is offered an escape
Return to that which you once knew
Or discover why you came

So you turn to face those unknown lands
And you run with all your might
Your arms are open in surrender
And your face poised toward the sky

The cosmos witnesses this gesture
You are braver than you were
A quiet voice deep down is singing
Do not stop until you know

And the fog has cleared around you
Your arrival brings the sun
The road has opened up before you
And you know you are not done

So when the clouds sock in above you
You laugh in the face of fear
Your name is on the trailhead
This is why you are here
