The Source Within You cover

5/5 stars for profound wisdom, heartfelt guidance, and poetic prose

A year ago, nearly to the day, I picked up a life-changing book called You Are the Placebo by Dr. Joe Dispenza. I had decided to become the master of my reality. Since then, I’ve been on an intensely passionate journey of self-discovery and creativity, each new stepping stone appearing as a book in my hands.

I’ve read more on theology, self-help, healing, psychology, metaphysics, and real-life magic in the last year than I’ve read in all my other years combined. Each new book I tackle feels like a gift from the Divine.

And this one. This one feels like it descended straight from the Stars.

I’ve highlighted so many passages and saved so many affirmations that to list them all would be to copy down the majority of the book. The wisdom contained in these pages is sweeping, yet detailed. Vast, yet personal. In a word, it is endless.

The Source within You is a profound guide to the Universe and everything in it. This book takes you by the hand and—if you allow it—leads you into the realm of infinite possibilities. You can feel it lifting you up even as you sit down to read. Any illusions you have that you are a victim of your circumstances immediately fade into the background. You are empowered to create your own reality.

Perhaps my favorite part of the book is at the beginning of the chapter entitled, “Neutralization”. Of all the beautiful passages found here, this one sticks with me most clearly. It says, in part:

“Why are you crying little night?” asked the sun.

“It’s the people,” the night replied. “When I come to them, they can’t see anything anymore. They hate me.”

To this, the sun answered, “No, little night. When you come to them, they can see themselves. They love you.”

I wish I had a more precise description of everything this book means to me, but it’s probably best if I allow you to read and draw your own conclusions. I highly recommend The Source within You to everyone!
